Welcome to Year 6!
- Every Tuesday afternoon, year 6 take part in Sporting Marvels, please can your child have suitable P.E clothing.
- Please can reading books be returned daily and reading records signed.
- Spellings will be given on a Friday and the test will take place the following Friday.
- Homework will be given every Friday and needs to be returned by the following Wednesday.
- Purple Mash homework to be completed by Wednesdays .
This term our theme is Frozen Kingdom. We will be learning all about the Arctic and the Antarctic. We have located them on globes and atlases and are currently identifying the similarities and differences between them.
We will also be finding out all about Robert Falcon Scott and will present the information we find to other classes using I.C.T.

This week in maths we are focusing on mental multiplication, doubling and counting on in 25's.
In Mrs J's SFA have completed reading a book entitled Dear Mr Greenpeace and our main focus is to design a leaflet based on the advantages and disadvantages of keeping whales in captivity.
